Extended warranty as a competitive advantage

An e-bike in for service with a digital service book

The manufacturer sells to the dealer, the dealer to the end customer. Product registration is the moment the manufacturer first learns who actually uses the product — and can stay in touch with them.

The warranty as a reason to register

An extended warranty is the most natural reason for a customer to register a product. They get something tangible, and the manufacturer gets a contact, a serial number and a date of sale. Without it there is a gap between the manufacturer and the user that nobody fills.

A service book that will not vanish into a drawer

A paper service book lasts until the first house move. A digital one is tied to the specific unit, keeps both in-warranty and out-of-warranty jobs with it and opens from the QR code on the product. In a claim or a second-hand sale the history is documented.

Claims without arguments

When the date of sale, the warranty type and previous repairs are visible on the product, claims are settled over data instead of impressions. It is faster for both sides and there are fewer disputes that cost time and reputation.

A contact that keeps its value after the warranty ends

A customer the manufacturer knows about is more than a one-off sale. You can offer them a service inspection, spare parts or a new model — and it is a tailored offer, not a blanket campaign.
